Pastoral Council

Pastoral Council is a faith-based advisory body to the Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish and to the Principal of Sacred Heart School. The Pastoral Council responsibilities include establishing the Mission, Vision, Goals and Objectives for the Parish. The Pastoral Council creates, guides and implements the Strategic Plan to ensure proper planning for the future advancement and excellence of the Parish. The Pastoral Council serves and supports in alignment with the other council and commissions in Parish and School.

We focus on Four Pillars:

  1. Community Worship and Sacraments
  2. Faith Formation
  3. Youth Campus Ministry
  4. Stewardship

Meets: 2nd Thursday of month 6:30-8:30pm (includes Extended Laity Leadership and Parish Staff). Pastoral Council Members ONLY.

Next meeting TBD.

Members work to promote communication in the parish community through dialogue; foster understanding among parishioners, parish organizations, the archdiocese and the universal Church; collaborate with the Pastor on issues related to the parish and recommends priorities and direction through long range planning and visioning. Pastoral Council members have the opportunity to meet fellow parishioners, deepen their faith, and become familiar with the “big picture” of the parish. For more information, contact Fr. Nagel.
