Important: Notice for Distribution

Out of an abundance of caution, we wish to inform you that a Sacred Heart Parishioner, who briefly visited the church on Saturday January 16th, 2021 and asymptomatic at the time, subsequently tested positive for COVID-19

After careful investigation, we consulted with the King County Health Department. who determined that there was no “close contact,” (defined as being within six feet of an infected person for more than 15 minutes within a 24-hour period), advising us that we do not need to report this case to the community.

However, we felt it was important to let you know that we are doing everything in our power to protect our community during the pandemic by adhering to the guidelines set forth by the State of Washington and the Archdiocese of Seattle. Anyone who had contact with this individual has been notified and our COVID-19 cleaning and sanitizing protocol continues.

We commend this parishioner for self-screening, deciding to not attend Mass on Sunday and notifying us of their symptoms and COVID test results. As always, if you are experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID-19, you should speak to your medical provider and avoid attending services at Sacred Heart Parish until 10 days after symptoms first appear AND you are fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication.

Please join us in praying for the individuals involved and for our Sacred Heart community.
