Please join us as our series on understanding and deepening our faith continues. On Wednesday evenings in January, we will focus on the sacraments of initiation and the sacrament of marriage. Our hope is that we will all grow in faith and be renewed/updated in our understanding of these central gifts/celebrations of our faith.

GROWING IN FAITH TOGETHER: BAPTISM AND CONFIRMATION

We are initiated into the Christian community through the sacrament of baptism. Baptism is best understood through attention to the words and rituals of the celebration of the sacrament. We will also explore the sacrament of confirmation in connection with baptism. We will explore what baptism/confirmation mean in our daily lives.

GROWING IN FAITH TOGETHER: EUCHARIST

January 13 2021, 7:00 pm
The Eucharist is the sacrament we celebrate most often. It is the sacrament that sustains us day by day, week by week, over our lifetimes. We will explore this sacrament through the actions of the eucharist: gathering, forgiving, listening, feeding, sending—and more. Be renewed in and deepen your understanding of the primary expression of our faith.

GROWING IN FAITH TOGETHER: THE SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION

January 20 2021, 7:00 pm
We are a people often (always?) in need of forgiveness. The Sacrament of Reconciliation assures us that God never ceases to love us, even when we fail. This sacrament is primarily about God mercy even as we acknowledge our sins. Through the mercy of God, we are given the grace of forgiveness, a fresh start, and strength to live differently.

GROWING IN FAITH TOGETHER: THE SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE

January 27 2021, 7:00pm
The Sacrament of Marriage is a sacrament of commitment and vocation. It is, for many, the context in which we live our faith day to day, and a relationship of love that mirrors God’s love for us. Whether we are married or not, we can all learn about God’s great love for us and how we are to live that love in all our relationships.
