Passion Play Performances

More than 30 years ago, one of our former 5th grade teachers, Mr. Carl Sheffield, brought the tradition of performing Passion Plays to our school. The Passion Plays that are performed here in a three-year cycle were adapted by him for 5th grade students from Medieval Passion Plays. These Passion Plays were performed centuries ago in Europe as an entertaining and engaging way to teach people about Jesus’ death and resurrection. Continuing that tradition, our 5th grade students, led by their teachers Mrs. Riehl and Mrs. Luscher, will be performing their Passion Play four times on Good Friday. Everyone is invited to come, watch, and be led into the celebration of Our Lord’s Passion.

Four performances will take place on Friday, the 30th, in the Moore Theater:

  • 8:45am performed by 5A
  • 9:30am performed by 5B
  • 10:15am performed by 5A
  • 11:00am performed by 5B
