Textile Drive for Summit Assistance Dogs – First Collection Date: January 19th

In their quest for the Girl Scout Silver Award, the 7th Grade SHS Girl Scout Cadette Troop 44035 will be sponsoring a number of textile collection days throughout the 2018 Winter and Spring seasons.  This effort will benefit Summit Assistance Dogs – an organization that provides highly-skilled mobility, hearing and therapy dogs for people living with disabilities.

What can be collected:

  • CLOTHING new and used,
  • SHOES (in pairs) any kind/any condition;
  • TOWELS, STUFFED ANIMALS, HATS, DRAPES, PURSES,
  • TABLECLOTHS, PLACEMATS…
  • LUGGAGE, BACKPACKS in usable condition

We cannot take glass, breakables, electronics, pet beds, bed pillows, bedding of any kind, pet beds, carpeting, rugs, uniforms, hotel linens, small fabric scraps/samples or items previously for sale at a thrift store.

Money earned for Summit Dogs is based on collections by the pound – so here’s your chance to clear out all those reusable clothing and textile items!
