Activity Center Update – Upcoming Feasibility Study

The Community of Sacred Heart has long discussed the idea of building a multi-use Activity Center for the use of both parish and school activities and events. The Activity Center is Phase 2 of our Long Range Plan. As such, preliminary architectural renderings of its footprint and placement on the Sacred Heart campus have already been developed.

Before the plans are developed any further, it is important to listen to the opinions and feedback of parish and school families. This way, we can gage whether the Sacred Heart community is ready and willing to move forward with the funding and construction of an Activity Center.

To explore our readiness to fund such a project, we have hired Kristine Wallace of Capital Campaign Consulting to conduct a Feasibility Study. Kris comes highly recommended and has worked with dozens of parishes in the Archdiocese of Seattle over the past 20 years. The Feasibility Study will help us to understand your position on these Phase 2 plans, listen to questions and concerns, and determine if the necessary funds can be raised.

To that end, our consultant will begin by conducting interviews with a cross-section of households that represent both parish and school. Those interviews will take place during the month of October. We will also invite input via a survey as well as a Town Hall meeting to also take place during October.

It is very important that that our Sacred Heart School families participate in this process so that perspectives that are unique to our school can be incorporated into the resulting decisions.

Regular E-mail updates will provide information as the Study unfolds. Please pray for wisdom and patience as we proceed. Thank you in advance for your participation in the Feasibility Study.
