Rehearsal Update -2/12/12
Cast List for Seussical the Musical
Dear Cast:
I am very excited to present to you the roles for Seussical Jr. 2012. I spent last night and most of today with the script and all of your beautiful faces on your audition forms in front of me. I moved everyone around many times and this is the final result. These are the things I kept in mind while putting our show together: Singing, acting and music auditions; drama class experiences; prior roles; current grade level; good attitude; conflicts; height; personality groupings. It was a tough assignment. But we’re not finished!!! Please keep in mind that we create our characters and our show during our rehearsals. There will be many things to adjust and possibly some other characters or special “bits” to add in as we go. And if you have seen a different production of Seussical keep in mind that ours will be totally new and special just for Sacred Heart students.
On Monday, our rehearsal will go from 3:00-5:00 followed by our parent meeting from 5:00-5:30. You will receive your scripts and I will tell you all about the fun things we have to work on at that time. Have a great weekend and I will see you all on Monday.

Important Playmaker Message
Dear Playmakers:
Due to the overwhelming response for Playmaker registration this year, our cast roster is full and registration is closed at this time. This is an unprecedented event in the history of Playmakers. This year’s production of Seussical Jr. is already 10% larger than any previous casts. We wish to apologize to those of you who may have missed what turned out to be a very narrow window of opportunity to register for the show. It is not our intent to exclude committed students or to otherwise make it inconvenient to participate. The Playmaker board is meeting this week to discuss our registration challenges, our cast size for Seussical Jr. and our future casting policies. We strongly encourage any students who want to register for either the main cast of Seussical or the Little Players cast, but did not make it before registration closed, to sign up for our wait list no later than WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 25th. Please contact Dee Huff to sign up. deannehuff@comcast.net.
All wait list students will be contacted by the Playmaker Board on Monday, January 23rd to announce who we may be adding to our cast for Seussical Jr. Please note that there are still several spots open in our technical program for 6th-8th graders. Check the website for more details.
If you have any questions regarding the program or how we decided upon our new registration process for this year contact Kim Douglass at kdouglass@sacredheart.org
Thank you for your support of this wildly successful program and we ask for your patience as we discover the best way to serve the Sacred Heart Community.
Sincerely,
The Playmaker Board
