The Vision
The vision of the Sacred Heart Parish AIDS Outreach is:
- To be a community willing to risk;
- To reach out in love, compassion and hospitality;
- To be present to those who are in pain;
- To share in their lives, dreams and graced moments;
- To be a community experiencing the reign of God present among us;
- To proclaim the tender gracious, and unconditional love of our God.
Sacred Heart AIDS Outreach Ministry welcomes you to join them in this vital ministry as more and more of our brothers and sisters are affected by HIV/AIDS. Through this ministry Sacred Heart parishioners reach out to those who are affected by HIV/AIDS in a number of ways.
They sponsor a Healing Mass for all people who are in need of physical, emotional, or spiritual healing on the fourth Monday of each month at 5:30pm at Sacred Heart Church.
They have formed a Care Team of 8-12 parishioners who care for a person living with AIDS.
They set up an AIDS giving tree in February inviting parishioners to donate a variety of items ranging from gift certificates to a pair of socks.
They participate in the annual Northwest AIDS walk, which is held each year in September.
Several of the members volunteer on a regular basis at one of the agencies that serve those living with HIV/AIDS.
Upcoming Events:
- Healing Mass on the fourth Monday of every month at 5:30 PM as Sacred Heart Church
- Formation of another Care Team
